Mulberry works with a number of HEIs, including UCL Institute of Education, Kings College and Goldsmiths to offer school placements for PGCE student teachers.
Mulberry School for Girls have trained a number of Teach First trainees over the years with a number of colleagues remaining at the school and in leadership roles.
We also have very strong links with Teach First and have hosted conferences for Teach First staff and Teach First ambassadors as well as welcoming colleagues from around the world through the ‘Teach for All’ network.
Mulberry has a comprehensive weekly Induction programme for all its NQTs led by the Leading Practitioner team. NQTs work collaboratively to share good practice and embark on small action research projects to inform their own pedagogy and practice. There are also opportunities for colleagues to work with NQTs from local schools.
NQTs have a subject mentor and have weekly mentor meetings to help them meet and excel against the Teacher Standards
